Overview
PIMSY can require supervisors to review and sign off on subordinates' notes. This article covers how to assign a provider dual sign-off for notes that require it.
Required Permissions and Prerequisites

- Group Notes
- Users

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Navigating to the User Personnel Folder
From the top navigation menu, go to:
Administration > User Management > User Personnel Folder
Select the provider that will require this function.
Step 2: Assigning Dual Sign Off
Once the user chart loads, click on the Codes / Rates tab. Double click on the appropriate billing code to expand the dropdown menu. Select the checkbox for Requires Dual Sign Off. Click Save to finalize the change, repeat for any other applicable codes, then click Refresh Pick Lists under the Utilities menu.
Step 3: Assigning a Supervisor
From the User Details tab of the User Personnel Folder, scroll down to the Admin Info section. Users assigned under the Supervisor, Supervisor II, and Supervisor III roles are the only ones able to release the notes for the user that requires dual sign off.
Users assigned under the Supervisor, Supervisor II, and Supervisor III roles will be notified via alerts if setting -131 is set to True. The supervisees notes are conveniently identified on the supervisors dashboard tiles.
