Overview
Microsoft Remote Desktop allows users to securely access PIMSY from outside their normal work environment. By connecting to your organization’s remote server, you can work within the same system setup as if you were on-site, ensuring full functionality and data security. This tool is ideal for clinicians or staff needing remote access while maintaining compliance and workflow continuity.
Required Permissions and Prerequisites
- Please ensure you have access to either an Apple or Android computer or tablet to use RDP
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Installing RDP Access to Your Device
In order for Apple or Droid users to access PIMSY on their Apple or Droid devices, you must first download the Windows App to your device from the app store of either device:
Google Play Store (Android)
App Store (Apple)
Step 2: RDP Instructions
Once you have installed the Windows app on your device, please reach out to PIMSY support to retrieve your username and password for the RDP and follow the instructions below:
- From the app, locate and start the Microsoft Remote Desktop
- Click on the + (plus sign) located top left above the word "New"
- Using the information below, fill in the corresponding locations in the dialog window.
- Note: PC Name: This will be the same for everyone.
- There is an image below to illustrate what the completed dialog window should look like when finished. The interface may look different on your device, however, the information is the same.
- When each field has been entered, close the dialog window.
- Double-click on your name.
- If all the information has been entered correctly, you should see a window titled "Verify Certificate"
- Click the Continue button and the Remote Session will start momentarily.
- After Windows Desktop is displayed, click the PIMSY icon to start PIMSY.
IMPORTANT: When you are finished with PIMSY, exit out of the application and double click the Log Off Icon to close your RDP session.
