Overview
The Workstation Requirements outlines the most up-to-date minimum and recommended specifications needed to effectively run PIMSY.
Administrative Access (Desktop Application)

Windows: Windows 10 or higher (older versions are no longer HIPAA-compliant. Windows 10 will not be supported after October 14, 2025, so we recommend upgrading to Windows 11 before that date). *Although a 32-bit Windows PC will work, we recommend a 64-bit Windows PC.
- RAM: For optimum experience, we highly recommend 32 GB, but 16 GB is sufficient
- Hard Drive: Minimum of 500 GB, but we recommend at least 1 TB
- Processor: Highly recommend i7 or higher
- Network Speed: you need a fast and reliable internet connection; see details below
- macOS: Non-clinical staff who utilize Mac will need to install their preferred RDP (Remote Desktop) software to access PIMSY Desktop in a Windows environment. Please contact PIMSY Support for assistance.
- PIMSY requires a Windows component called the .NET Framework 4.7.2. This framework is built into most modern versions of Windows, so in most cases, you won’t need to download or install it separately. It is included by default with all recent Windows operating systems.

Clinical Access (Portal)
Providers can access PIMSY seamlessly on their android device, iPhone, or iPad using the PIMSY app - or via any browser on any device. The app (aka “Portal”) is a multi-platform application specifically for clinical staff.

Date and Time:
- Ensure your device is set to your local time zone.
- Ensure the date format for your machine is MM/DD/YYYY.
Internet/Mobile connections - Required
Download: minimum 20 (mbps)
Upload: minimum 5 (mbps)
Please note that the above numbers are a good starting point, but it depends on how many people are sharing the internet at the same time. PIMSY is a cloud-based product accessed by your internet connection. More staff in the office = increased up and down speed requirements. We recommend consulting your Internet Service Providers to upgrade to the highest internet speed available. View your current internet speed by going to http://www.speedtest.net/ to run a test.
Will PIMSY work without an internet connection?
No, internet/Wi-Fi or mobile data connection is required. If you see clients where service is unavailable, check with PIMSY Support about our offline tools available to sync with PIMSY.

Speech to Text – Optional
PIMSY works with the speech-to-text solution of your choice. Determining HIPAA compliance of the selected solution is left to the discretion of the customer.
Credit Card Swiping – Optional
Credit card swipers are determined by which merchant you choose to use. PIMSY has partnered with a few options for credit card processing. Contact us for details.
Scanner – Optional
If you’d like to use a scanner with PIMSY, we recommend utilizing an HP Officejet model.
HIPAA Compliance and Data Security
With PIMSY, all of your agency’s data resides in the HIPAA-compliant, safe and secure Microsoft Azure Cloud. PIMSY supports data security and helps keep your agency compliant with HIPAA.
