Overview
PIMSY EHR is a Microsoft Windows-based application, meaning it runs on a Windows PC or on a Windows instance installed on a Mac. The installation process is straightforward and typically takes just a few minutes.
Before installing PIMSY, it’s important to review the system requirements for your computer, laptop, or tablet to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
Required Permissions and Prerequisites

- PIMSY requires a Windows component called the .NET Framework 4.7.2. This framework is built into most modern versions of Windows, so in most cases, you won’t need to download or install it separately. It is included by default with all recent Windows operating systems.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Navigating to Your Site's Installation Page
In your web browser, enter the following link into the address bar:
https://pimsyehr.com/solutions/install-pimsy/
Step 2: Installing PIMSY
Next, on the install web page, click on the Install button. The following window will appear:
Click OK to proceed. If you are using Microsoft Edge you may see a message asking if you wish to run or save the install. Select Run to install.
If you are using another browser, such as Chrome or Firefox, download the .exe file and click on the file once it is in your Downloads folder.
The next window is the permission to install. Press Start to initiate the install.
*Note: We do not recommend that clients use the Directory button. This feature is intended for use by IT system administrators only, if necessary.
Step 3: Entering Your Company Acronym
The next window will ask for your site's company acronym. If you don't know your acronym, please consult your system administrator or business manager. Once you have replaced "ABCD" with your own acronym, click OK.
It will display the most recent version to install. Select OK again, then click Start to proceed with the installation.
Step 4: Entering your Security Key and Logging In
If PIMSY has never been installed on the device before, you will be prompted to enter the key assigned to your agency. This key will be provided by your company administrator.
Once the installation is complete and the key has been entered, you can proceed with logging into PIMSY to begin using the system.
After logging in, PIMSY will direct you to the Home Page, where you can begin navigating the rest of the system and accessing its features.
Additional Information
You may run into an issue when installing prompted by Windows Defender. If this should happen, check the option to whitelist the PIMSY installation. Alternatively, you can temporarily turn off Windows Defender to install PIMSY.
