Overview
A profile is the name we give to all the different rule sets an administrator puts together to control what level of access a user has in PIMSY. PIMSY comes with several preset profiles. Use these Profiles as a guide to aid in modifying them to fit your needs, or in creating your own.
Required Permissions and Prerequisites

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Navigate to Profile Management
From the top navigation menu, go to:
Administration > Profile Management
Step 2: Creating a new Profile
Type a new name in the Profile field and check the appropriate boxes. Select the rules you want to assign to that profile in the left box (Unassigned Rules) by double-clicking on the rule, which moves it to the right box (Assigned Rules).
For example, rules that say "task" will give the ability to work in the Tasks area. If you are starting a new profile and want to build it with no starting point, click "Remove All". This will remove every profile rule that is assigned to the Profile selected, allowing you to start over.
It is important to note that in order for a clinician's name to display as options to select for clients in any of the clinical/therapist dropdowns, the profile must have the "PT / QP" check box. Similarly, for Doctors/Nurse Practitioners to show as options for clients in the Physician dropdown, the profiles must have the "Doctor" checkbox selected. The "Client Admin" box gives access to all clients.
Step 3: Making Changes to a Profile
To make changes to a profile, select the appropriate profile name from the Profile dropdown box. You can adjust the permissions by identifying the needed rule in the Unassigned Rules category, double clicking on it to send it to the Assigned Rules category (or vice versa to remove permissions).
The profile rules can be saved all at once after you have moved desired rules to the left or the right. Save does not need to be clicked after each move.
Please note when changes to profiles occur, the end user must log out completely in order to utilize the new permissions adjusted.
