Overview
Users can be locked out of PIMSY due to too many incorrect password attempts, or manually for a number of reasons. Due to this, PIMSY's Support staff cannot reset a user's password through a direct request: users need to go to their internal PIMSY Champions for assistance with login issues. Follow the steps below to reset a user's login credentials, allowing them access to the system again.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Navigate to the User's Chart
Navigate to the user's chart by going to Administration > User Management > User Personnel Folder. Click on the appropriate user. You will see the Suspended (Login) checkbox has been checked.
Step 2: Make the Necessary Changes
Once the user detail page loads, scroll to the bottom portion of the page. Click on the Enter Password button. This will open a pop up where you can enter a new password. You will need to enter it a second time to confirm it.
Step 3: Reset Appropriate Boxes
Once you've entered a generic password for the user, check the box for Change Pwd. Next Login and uncheck the box for Suspended (Login). Failure to do this last step will prevent the user from logging in. Click Save and exit the user chart.
Step 4: Reset Pick Lists
Go to Utilities and select Refresh Pick Lists. This will ensure the system has the most recent log in information for all users. You can now provide the generic password to your user, and upon entering the system they will be prompted to change their password to a new, secure password.
