Overview
The Utilities menu in PIMSY includes a variety of specialized tools and functions not available elsewhere in the system. These utilities support both system customization and day-to-day operations. This menu also includes many additional tools designed to enhance user control and streamline workflow.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Navigating to the Utilities Menu
From the top navigation menu, go to:

Step 2: Utilities Menu Items
From the Utilities menu you can access the following menu items:
- Home: Lets user navigate back to the home page without closing any currently open screens or losing their work.
- Change Password: Allows user to update their PIMSY login password securely at any time.
- My User Records: The personnel folder containing items such as surveys, user renewals, client lists, codes/rates, payroll history, calendar settings, and more. The specific items available are set by the administrator and may vary based on profile.
- Alerts: An internal messaging system that displays important notifications. If there are any alerts, the Utilities Menu option will flash green. A variety of filter options are available, including sender, message phrase, date sent, and more. Global alert settings are managed in System Settings.
- Refresh Pick Lists: Updates the system to display any recent changes made to lists or drop-down options. This is used after modifications are made in Administration > Picklist Management or any other area of PIMSY that disperses your custom options, ensuring the most current choices are available.
- Reset All Layouts: Reset layouts to default.
- Requests: Allows users to send and receive requests from other staff members within PIMSY.
- Tasks: Enables users to view and send tasks within PIMSY. Tasks provide a structured method for internal communication and assignment, allowing for categorization, progress tracking, and clear identification of the responsible party for each item.
- SAL: Provides access to the PIMSY calendars.
- Company Q&A: Global Q&A section. Access company Q&A's and other miscellaneous company Q&A forms.
- Documents: Allows users to create and manage PIMSY documents. For detailed guidance, refer to the Document Management article.
- EDE: Generate an Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) file directly from this menu.
- User Surveys: Access personnel user surveys, if applicable.
- Emergency Access: A Platinum-only feature that provides emergency access to a user account when needed.
- Import Tools: Allows the import of data into PIMSY using custom spreadsheets. For example, clinicians can document notes offline in a specially created spreadsheet and later upload them into PIMSY through this feature.
- Messaging: Access the Messaging feature in PIMSY to send messages to clients via Voice, Text, Email, and Fax.
- Direct Email: Enables users to send emails directly from within PIMSY without needing an external email client.
- Network: Provides access to various IT and software-related tasks within PIMSY.
- PIMSY Theme: Allows users to switch between the default and dark mode themes. Users can also disable alternating row colors for a customized visual experience.
- Links: Provides access to various educational resources, utility links, and the PIMSY Portal
- About: Displays a quick overview of the PIMSY version, support resources, and plan details.
