Overview
PIMSY makes communication between users simple and efficient. When you need another staff member to complete a task, submitting a Request is an effective way to ensure it gets done. Whether it’s verifying a client’s insurance, obtaining a treatment plan signature from another clinician, or handling any other item in the system that you cannot complete yourself, using a Request helps manage and track these tasks smoothly.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Create User Groups
First, you need to create a User Group for users who can receive and fulfill specific types of requests. For example, if the request involves insurance verification, set up a User Group comprising the staff responsible for insurance verification.
Refresh your Pick lists under the Utilities menu.
Step 2: Pick List Management
Go to:
Administration > Pick List Management
In the search bar, filter for Request Types.
Select an existing request type or create a new one by entering it on the blank line at the bottom.
Choose the User Group authorized to fulfill the request. Click Save.
When a user with request creation privileges logs into PIMSY and clicks the Requests button on the home page, they can create new requests or manage existing ones.
Step 3: Auto Note Creation
PIMSY can automatically generate notes when a Request is completed. This feature requires setup by your PIMSY Champion.
Go to System Settings and set the following:
-580 when True, will automatically create a note when the request is completed
-581 when True will determine what category of note will get created. Progress or Assessment (Note: This is set to "Progress" by default. We recommend changing your value to "Assessment")
Ensure the appropriate billing code(s) have been created and assigned to the client(s) or user(s).
Only one billing code can be applied per request, but multiple requests can be completed in a single day. To allow this, check the Allow Multiple Notes Per Day box in the Billing Code column of the Billing Codes screen.
