Overview
An example of how hierarchies are designed within PIMSY.
Hierarchical Structure within PIMSY
Divisions in PIMSY allow practices to organize service lines for greater control and efficiency. They can represent different programs, service types, or practice areas, and are used to streamline reporting and group assignments. By setting up divisions and adjusting settings -95, -335, and -596, you can prevent users from seeing clients in divisions other than those to which a user is assigned.
Locations in PIMSY act as an additional data element to separate your clients for appropriate users as well. Setting -92 allows you to easily manage locations, clients, and groups while maintaining clear visibility across multiple programs or service offerings.
(Example: Peter works at location B and is therefore assigned to location B division. He cannot see Sean's client list as Sean is assigned to location A.
Sean and Grace both work at location A, but since Grace is assigned to a different user group, Sean cannot see her client list.)
