Overview
Attaching notes to a SAL in PIMSY streamlines documentation by ensuring all client notes are properly linked to their corresponding appointments. This feature helps maintain organized records, supports accurate reporting, keeps workflows efficient across users and locations, and ensures provider dashboard tiles remain accurate.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Navigating to the Global Notes Screen
From the top navigation menu, go to:
Clients > Notes
Step 2: Locating the Note
On the global Notes screen, you can determine whether a note is linked to a SAL appointment by verifying the SAL # column. If the column is blank, the note is not attached to any SAL appointment.
Step 3: Utilizing the Service Activity Log Report to Attach a Note
To attach a note to a SAL appointment, navigate to the Service Activity Log (Multiple Users) under the Reports menu. Apply filters such as service date, client, or user to locate the correct entry.
Verify that the Note # column is blank, then click Attach Existing Note to link the note to the SAL.
The system will search for notes that match the SAL appointment criteria, including Service Date, Performed By, and Billing Code.
Select the correct note and verify it does not have a Current SAL #. Next, click Attach Note to link it to the SAL appointment. Once attached, the note will also be removed from the user’s dashboard tile.
Please note, when utilizing PIMSY payroll feature, if a session does not show up in payroll for a user that is paid a flat rate per unit or per session, verify the note is attached to a SAL appointment.
