Overview
PIMSY can be configured to automatically create notes in the client's chart upon completion of a request, however it will require some setup by your PIMSY Administrator. Administrators can control this setup through specific system settings and billing code configurations, ensuring the right type of note is created and tied to client records.
Required Permissions and Prerequisites
- This article is in reference to our Desktop application
-
Set up for Requests should be performed by Power Users, as they need access to the following areas:
- Billing Codes
- Notes
- User set up
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Billing Code Configuration
From the top navigation menu, go to:
Financial > Billing Codes
Select the desired Billing Code and click the Additional Details button in the bottom panel. From the Billing Code Details window, scroll down to locate the Default Request Code for Generated Notes section. Select Yes and then exit.
Be sure the appropriate billing code(s) have been created and applied to the client(s) and user(s). You can only use one code for requests.
Check the box in the Allow Multiple Notes Per Day billing code column if you would like multiple requests allowed per client in a single day.
Step 2: System Settings
From the top navigation menu, go to:
Administration > Setting Management > System Settings
- Setting -580 when True, will automatically create a note when the request is completed
-
Setting -581 determines what category of note will get created; Progress or Assessment. (This is set to create Progress note by default, however we recommend inputting "Assessment" into the Your Value field).
Step 3: Create a Request
Create and save (send) a request. Once the request has been completed, you can save the request and either click the Generate Client Note button or the note will be created automatically, depending on the settings in your PIMSY.
